A midlength film written by Lianne Daemen and directed by Floris Ramaekers
Lotte, originally from a small town in the southern Dutch province of Limburg, has been living in the country America (USA) for several years when she receives an urgent request from her father to come back home: things are not going well with her mother. Shortly after, she returns to her hometown of America (NL), where memories of her childhood flood back at every street corner. Even in the village square and the pub, complete musical pieces she played there as a child with the brass band swirl through her mind. Once at her parents’ home, she realizes that her mother isn’t necessarily physically ill but is struggling with depression. Slowly, Lotte begins to suspect that there’s more to the situation, and her parents are keeping the problems caused by her absent brother, Pieke, a secret from her. Despite becoming increasingly entangled in thoughts of the past, she is determined to uncover what is truly going on with her brother.
